Fashion bloggers and other fashion enthusiasts came from all over the country to Austin last weekend for the Texas Style Council Conference, and their bags were clearly packed with a plethora of stylish clothes and accessories. During the conference, I realized that although each fashion blogger definitely has her own unique sense of style, there were still some common current trends amongst this group of fashion conscious girls. What are fashion bloggers loving right now?
1) Mixing patterns – especially if one of those patterns is either stripes, polka dots, or leopard print. If you see a girl wearing an outfit comprised of two or more seemingly mismatched patterns and yet the outfit in its entirety looks fabulous, you’re probably safe to bet that girl has a blog about style.
2) Bold lip color – Many girls chose to wear classic bright red lipstick at the events, a staple go-to for a stylish girl who wants a pop of color. I also saw some interesting pink and purple hues.
3) Interesting eyewear – “Nerdy” glasses are still going strong amongst the fashion blogger crowd and looking oh so chic.
4) Statement Necklaces – Some of the more crafty bloggers even like to make one-of-a-kind statement pieces for themselves. The statement necklace is a strong accessory that can make a simple outfit much more eye catching.
5) The arm party – Layering multiple bracelets is a huge trend right now and fashion bloggers are loving it! Mix in a a metallic watch and you won’t be tardy for this arm party.
6) Chanel bag – There might not be anything more classically stylish than a Chanel bag. It’s like the LBD of purses.
