Thank you so much to everyone who participated in my #StylishatACL GIVEAWAY courtesy of AT&T U-Verse GigaPower! It was truthfully very exciting and fun to do this type of interactive giveaway and see everyone’s responses. I had so much fun this weekend and it was in big part thanks to y’all who follow and support this blog!

Scroll down to the end of my recap and photos to find out if you are the WINNER of 2 tickets to the next weekend of ACL!…

I only spotted one white girl wearing a Native American headdress this past weekend at ACL, so I think as far as festival fashion goes, progress is being made.  While the style at Austin City Limits is certainly not my favorite of all the festivals, it’s probably the most representative of the current mainstream mass market (at least in the South.)  The appeal of ACL is far reaching and is a fest that simultaneously brings out the youngest and the oldest crowds.  This wide range of festival goers makes for a somewhat hodge podge of fashion choices, and honestly the results are not always the prettiest.

After looking for interesting girls to take photos of this weekend, I think this year festival fashion is on the cusp of a change. The standard boho identifiers like the floppy hat, free flowing dresses and tops, and classic leather boots are all things that will certainly never completely go away at music festivals.  Other trendier items will continue to come and go (the floral crown may finally be dying out, but has been instantly replaced by its successor, the flash tattoo.)  But from a broader viewpoint, as the current trend in fashion becomes more minimal and “normal,” it’s interesting to see how this will affect festival wear.  ACL could be the worst music festival for fashion, or perhaps ACL is just on the cutting edge of normcore style…

The WINNER of two tickets to ACL Weekend 2 is…
