He’s the co-owner of Mercury Design Studio and Stag, operations manager for Bunkhouse Management, and was featured as one of Tribeza magazine’s Style Icons of 2012. Bobby Johns celebrated his 40th birthday at Beauty Ballroom this past weekend and came decked out in none other than a custom made suit in a dashiki printed fabric picked out by the eclectic man himself. In case you are also wanting a custom made suit (in dashiki print fabric of course because everyone wants one of those), Dandy’s Gentleman store was responsible for the amazing getup.
Not knowing Bobby personally, and after reviewing the party invite, I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to wear to this party so I defaulted to sequins of course. Turns out it would have been almost impossible for me to have picked a wrong outfit for this event which featured a David Bowie cover band (Super Creeps) and a gake (that’s word for gay cake) amongst other entertainment. Although, I am pretty sad I left my custom made dashiki print corset and tutu at home because those would have been perfect for this event. Ah well, next time!
