If I had to pick one national clothing chain to best represent the style of Austin, I would pick Free People. The bohemian rock star love child vibe that Free People clothing always tends to put off, fits well with Austin’s vintage hippie music inspired fashion sense. Free People also oftentimes houses a style juxtaposition which I adore – pretty and girly mixed with hard and tough. Local favorite, Laced with Romance, is also no stranger to this type of combination. In the same store you can find a romantic sequined ethereal dress alongside a vintage Iron Maiden t-shirt. This Sunday Laced with Romance and Free People are joining forces as Laced with Romance is holding a trunk show at the Free People store on N.Lamar. So, you are sure to find a stellar mix of pretty, rock n’roll, new, and old.
